Harris produced a historic season for the Big Red, earning 43 points on 19 goals and five assists. His spectacular season led him to be named the first Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year in Cornell's long-standing history. The sophomore striker put on a season to remember owning top-three recognition in the Big Red record-books in points (third - 43) and goals (19 - second). The spectacular sophomore concluded his season second in the nation in points (43) and goals (19).
"Unlike last season where Alex was an unknown quantity, he was very much a marked man this time around, which makes his 19 goals incredibly impressive. The level of consistency he has shown in front of goal over his two seasons here is both remarkable and quite rare—especially for someone so young. I have been around a number of good goal-scorers in my time as a player and a coach and I have never seen anyone who made it look so easy. His inclusion on this list is both exciting and well deserved,"
John Smith, the Dr. Daniel P. Wood Head Coach of Men's Soccer mentioned.
