ITHACA, N.Y. -- Coming off a win over Marist in Sunday night's contest, women's tennis hits the road for two matches this weekend when the team takes on Xavier on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. and Indiana on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. The Big Red is seeking its first back-to-back wins since starting the season 2-0 with victories over Fordham and Niagara.

Over the past weekend, Cornell went 1-2, dropping contests to Boston College and Rutgers. In each match, Cornell was the first to three but the east coast opponents battled back to steal the matches, 4-3.

The Big Red and Musketeers have only faced off once in program history. The one meeting went Xavier's way in a 5-2 decision on March 3, 2019. The Musketeers are on 6-3 this year, including a 5-2 victory over Indiana and a 4-3 loss to Ivy opponent Yale.

Against the Hoosiers, Cornell is winless in the series that dates back to the 2017-18 season. Indiana has also faced Yale this season in a meeting the Hoosiers lost 6-1.

The Big Red is closer to home next weekend when the team travels to Buffalo on Saturday, March 2 to take on the Bulls. Matches are set to begin at 1:30 p.m.
