ITHACA, N.Y. — Six riders recorded first-place finishes as the Cornell University equestrian team took second place on Saturday at the Alfred University Show. The Big Red claimed the 2024 regional championship with the strong performance.
Posie Price (open fences), Caly Stewart (intermediate fences), Emily Pecsok (limit fences), Jianna Simcik (limit fences), Mikayla Lin (limit flat) and Natalie Morris (novice) took first place in their divisions. Simcik, who also took second in limit flat, received Reserve High Point rider.
Uma Comfort (introductory) and Jenna Stickley (introductory) also took second in their divisions.
Cornell won the regional title by 56 points, amassing 321 on the season. Alfred came in second with 265.
