ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell women's tennis is back in action this weekend seeking its first Ivy League win of the season when it travels to Cambridge, Mass. to face #39 Harvard on Saturday, April 13, and Hanover, N.H. to face Dartmouth on Sunday, April 14. The Big Red and Crimson already faced off earlier this year in the ECAC Indoor Championships. Cornell dropped that match, 4-0.
The Big Red is coming off the heels of a tightly contested match against #52 Princeton. Cornell won the double's point and, paired with some singles wins, built out a 3-1 lead before the Tigers stormed back to steal the 4-3 win.
In the all-time series against Harvard, Cornell is 4-17. The Big Red is seeking its first win in the series since the 2016-17 season. Against Dartmouth, Cornell is just 4-15 all-time. Despite the record, Cornell has won two of the last three meetings, including a 4-1 victory last season.
The Big Red will host Brown and Yale in the final Ivy weekend to close out the 2023-24 season. Matches are set to begin against Brown at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. Against the Bulldogs, doubles play will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 21. All matches will be played at Reis Tennis Center.
