ITHACA, N.Y. — The Cornell equestrian team is set to compete at the team and individual Zone Championships on Saturday, April 6, at Long Island University. 

Cassandra Beckmann (open fences), Posie Price (open fences/open flat), Riley Gerardo (intermediate fences/intermediate flat), Lauren Aubert (intermediate fences), Jillian Steinmetz (limit fences), Emily Pecsok (limit flat), and Lauren Benson (introductory) were champions or reserve champions in their divisions at the regional championships on March 11, qualifying for individual zones. 

Gerardo, Pecsok, Uma Comfort, Sunny Liu, Gillian Roche, Jianna Simcik and Caly Stewart will compete in the team Zone Championships. Cornell took fourth in last year's team event, and Pecsok qualified for nationals.
