ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Cornell women's cross country team earned first-place at the Harry Anderson Invitational on Saturday morning.
Augustine Haquet and Maried Clas earned the top-two spots in the race, respectively.
Mike Henderson, Alan B. '53 and Elizabeth Heekin Harris Head Coach of Cross Country was pleased with his team's execution on the course. "Winning is always fantastic but the way [we] did it was exciting. Both teams did a great job of executing the race plan", he mentioned.
Haquet set a course record in her top-place finish, which coach Mike Henderson described as a testament to her hard-work. "She is continuing to develop as a runner on the course and it is exciting to see her efforts be rewarded", he added.
The Big Red were dominant in their performance, posting a 62-second spread between the first- and 12th-place finishers.
