21 Cornell Sprint Football Athletes Land on 2024 CSFL All-Academic Team

ITHACA, N.Y. —- Cornell sprint football landed 21 of its athletes onto the 2024 CSFL All-Academic team, the league announced Friday. 

The 21 Big Red honorees consisted of ten seniors, eight juniors and three sophomores. The standout of the bunch for Cornell is senior Sawyer Tierney who posted a 4.132 GPA, which was the highest in the league this year.

Joining Tierney in the senior class of honorees are Elijah Biddlecom (3.582), Colin Boyle (3.719), Zach Glenn (4.059), Carson Kotecki (3.860), Kevin Lopez (3.332), Evan Nicholas (3.747), Quintin Pezzino (3.695),  Charles Snajdr-Trinch (3.545) and Noah Wilson (3.852).

The junior class of honorees consist of  Ian Applegate (4.084), Alexei DiDonato (3.419), Ismaa'il Eaddy (3.407), Leo Madera Castellanos (3.281), Dylan Marshall (3.399), Michael Mosier (3.469), Zach Schutzer (3.782) and Max Spero (3.455).

The sophomore class had three honorees; Stephen Cisz (3.970), Sameer Neogi (3.746), and Ethan Qasemi.

In order for athletes to be eligible for the 2024 CSFL All-Academic Team, a student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher, have appeared in at least one contest for the nominated season, be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically and must have completed at least two semesters at their current institution. There was no limit on how many nominees a school could have as long as they met the criteria.
