Nine Big Red Players Earn All-CSFL Honors

ITHACA, N.Y. — Nine members of the Cornell sprint football team earned spots on the All-CSFL post-season teams, which the league announced on Monday morning.

Seniors Evan Nicholas, Quintin Pezzino and Colin Boyle each earned CSFL All-Conference Second-Team Offense honors and Senior Zach Glenn and junior Ian Applegate earned CSFL All-Conference Second-Team Defense honors. 

Along with the five second-team players, the Big Red had four players that were announced as a part of the honorable mention team. Senior Leo Madera Castellanos was named to the CSFL All-Conference Honorable-Mention Offense and seniors Noah WIlson and Elijah Biddlecom as well as sophomore Kruz Meier earned spots on the CSFL All-Conference Honorable Mention Defense.

Second-Team All-CSFL Offense

Evan Nicholas (Senior Running Back)

  • This is Nicholas' second Second-Team All-CSFL honor and gives Nicholas his fourth spot on a CSFL All-Conference Team in his four years of eligibility. 

  • Nicholas ends his collegiate career with two second team and two honorable mention team honors.

  • In the 2024 season Nicholas rushed 77 times for 414 yards and six touchdowns.

  • Nicholas had 14 receptions for 186 yards and one touchdown.

  • He went 38-for-78 in passing for 322 yards and three touchdowns.

  • Nicholas' longest rush of the season was 72 yards and his longest reception was 71 yards.


Quintin Pezzino (Senior Offensive Lineman)

  • This is Pezzino's first Second-Team All-CSFL honor.

  • Pezzino stood strong as a leader on the offensive line in the 2024 season.

  • Pezzino was part of an offensive line that only allowed 16 sacks on the season. 
     

Colin Boyle (Senior Wide Receiver)

  • This is Boyle's first Second-Team All CSFL honor.

  • Boyle had 24 receptions for 330 yards and three touchdowns. 

  • Boyle's longest reception was for 29 yards.

  • Boyle also had seven kick return attempts for 120 yards. 
     

Second-Team All-CSFL Defense 

Zach Glenn (Senior Defensive Lineman)

  • This is Glenn's first Second-Team All-CSFL honor.

  • Glenn had 31 total tackles on the season, 19 solo and 12 assisted.

  • He tallied 7.5 tackles for loss. 

  • Glenn recorded six sacks for 45 yards.

  • He forced three fumbles for 78 yards and recorded one fumble recovery.

  • Glenn blocked two kicks on the season.
     

Ian Applegate (Junior Defensive Back)

  • This is Applegate's first Second-Team All-CSFL honor.

  • Applegate recorded 34 total tackles, 26 solo and eight assisted.

  • He tallied 0.5 tackles for loss.

  • Applegate forced one fumble.

  • He had two interceptions on the season.

  • Applegate had three pass breakups. 

  • Applegate also had one rush on offense for 58 yards.


CSFL All-Conference Honorable Mention

Leo Madera Castellanos (Junior Kick-Returner)

  • This is Madera's first CSFL All-Conference Honorable Mention.

  • Madera had 11 kick return attempts for 214 yards.

  • His longest kick return was for 30 yards.

  • Madera had 21 receptions for 169 yards.

  • His longest reception was for 28 yards.
     

Noah Wilson (Senior Punter)

  • This is Wilson's first CSFL All-Conference Honorable Mention.

  • Wilson had 34 punt attempts for 1,181 yards on the season.

  • His longest punt was 49 yards.

  • Wilson's punts resulted in two touch-backs, six fair catches and five punts inside the 20 yard-line. 

Elijah Biddlecom (Senior Defensive Lineman)

  • This is Biddlecom's first CSFL All-Conference Honorable Mention.

  • Biddlecom recorded 28 total tackles, 17 solo and 11 assisted.

  • He had 9 tackles for loss.

  • Biddlecom recorded four sacks for a loss of 21 yards.

  • He had one quarterback hit and one blocked kick. 
     

Kruz Meier (Sophomore Defensive Back)

  • This is Meier's first CSFL All-Conference Honorable Mention.

  • Meier had 34 total tackles, 21 solo and 13 assisted.

  • He had two tackles for loss.

  • Meier had one interception for 11 yards.
