ITHACA, N.Y. — The No. 8-ranked Cornell women's squash team (4-2) opens a three-match road trip on Wednesday evening when it travels to Philadelphia for a contest against No. 10-ranked Drexel (5-3).

First matches are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. from the Klein & Specter Squash Center.

WEEKEND REWIND
Cornell split its first pair of Ivy League matches this past weekend at the Belkin Squash Courts, defeating No. 11-ranked Dartmouth on Saturday before falling to top-ranked Harvard on Sunday. Both contests concluded with 8-1 final scores.

Sophomore Xin Ying Yee continued her dominance at the top of the Big Red ladder, posting three-game victories over Dartmouth's Maria Clara Ramirez Velasquez and Harvard's Saran Nghiem.

SCOUTING DREXEL
Drexel enters Wednesday's match with a 5-3 overall record and being ranked No. 10 in the Collegiate Squash Association (CSA) rankings. The Dragons will be playing their first match since falling to Yale, 8-1, on Dec. 8.

Claudia Adam has a team-high six victories, posting a 6-2 record in matches spanning between the No. 5 and 9 positions. Lydia Robinson is right behind Adam with her 5-1 record spanning between the No. 2 and 6 positions. In the Big Red's victory, Alysa Ali avenged dropping the first two games to Emma Bartley by posting a five-game victory at the No. 4 position, 9-11, 9-11, 11-8, 12-10, 11-4. Wen Li Lai (No. 1), Devon Shatzman, and Maya Voloshin each had four-game victories, while Saniya Jaggi was the lone Cornell player to have a straight-game victory, defeating Adam in the No. 8 match, 11-9, 11-8, 11-5.

The Big Red will be seeking for its first winning streak against Drexel since posting victories in the first five matches across the 2013-14 and 2017-18 seasons.
