ITHACA, N.Y. - The Cornell men's swimming and diving team fell 181.5-118.5 to the Yale Bulldogs this weekend in a two-day meet at Teagle Pool.
"Our guys fought tough today, but couldn't match Yale in the end. We knew they had a talented roster, but we were hoping to get our hand on the wall first a few more times than we did.  Big wins from
Pietro Ubertalli, Joey Gurski and
Connor Brown kept us close for the first half of the meet, however Yale pulled ahead towards the end.  We'll learn from small mistakes and continue to get better as we approach Ivies.", Wes Newman, the Philip H. Bartels '71 Head Coach of Men's Swimming mentioned.
Pietro Ubertalli (48.53 seconds) and
Blake Conway (48.62 seconds) led all swimmers respectfully in the 100 yard backstroke.
Connor Brown bested the field in the 100 yard breaststroke (55.07 seconds).
Joseph Gurski earned first-place in the 200 yard butterfly with his time of 1:47.53.

Josh Toothman took second in the 200 yard medley relay (1:29.17).
