PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Cornell men's track and field enter six new marks into the history books at highly competitive Penn 10 Elite in Philadelphia on Saturday.
Eli Gault-Crabb took first in the pole vault with a personal-best 5.27m mark and grabbed the third spot in Cornell's top 10. Panashe Nhenga earned his spot in the top 10 with a 21.83 second 200m sprint finishing 11th in the field as Fabien De Silva ran his 400m in 47.78 to land in fourth on the list and sixth overall in the meet.
Damian Hackett (3:56.15) and Pierre Attiogbe (3:58.65) both set personal-best in the mile to end up with the first and fourth fastest time a Cornell man has ran the mile. Derek Amicon keeps moving up the all-time list in the 3000m, with a time of 7:58.24 Amicon now sits in fourth and finished fourth against competitors today.
The relay team of Tyler Canaday, Elijah Schechter, Attiogbe and Ryan Johnson came in third in the distance medley. The relay group is now ranked 11th in the event in the NCAA.
Other top five finishes include Ryan Brynjolfson finishing fourth in the high jump with a mark of 2.00m, Desmond Whitley in the triple jump at fifth with a mark of 14.54m, a 16.72m shot put mark from Peter Northrup to finish fifth and Tyler Tisinger running the 800m in 1:51.21 to come in fourth.
