NEW YORK — Cornell women's squash sophomore Xin Ying Yee posted a pair of victories to clinch her spot in the quarterfinals of the Ramsay Cup on the first day of the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships at Open Squash FiDi on Saturday afternoon.

Yee opened the tournament with a four-game victory over Drexel's Moa Bonnemark, 11-6, 11-8, 7-11, 11-4, marking Yee's second victory over Bonnemark in as many weekends. In her second-round match, Yee cruised past Penn's Sohaila Ismail in straight games, 11-6, 11-4, 11-5, clinching a spot in Sunday's quarterfinal round where she will face Yale's Heng Wai Wong at 12:20 p.m.

Junior Aishwarya Khubchandani fell in her first-round match in the Ramsay Cup bracket to Princeton's Emma Trauber, 6-11, 11-7, 11-5, 11-2. Khubchandani returned to action in the afternoon where she posted a four-game victory in the first round of the consolation bracket, defeating Virginia's Maria Moya, 11-13, 11-8, 11-2, 11-2.

Fellow junior Alysa Ali received a bye in the quarterfinals of the Holleran West bracket, advancing to Sunday's semifinal where she will face Virginia's Maryam Mian.
