Konvicka Earns Second Ivy League Player of the Week Honor After Dominant Weekend

| By:

ITHACA, N.Y. — Cornell senior Eliza Konvicka (14) has been named the Ivy League Volleyball Player of the Week for the second time this season after powering the Big Red to a perfect weekend at home with wins over Brown and Yale.

Konvicka, a key two-way force for Cornell as both an outside and right side hitter, delivered a standout performance across the two matches, posting 32 kills, averaging 4.57 per set, along with seven blocks and 11 digs. Her steady leadership and explosive play helped Cornell extend its Ivy win streak to five and remain the league's only undefeated team with an overall record of 10-5, 5-0 Ivy.

In Friday's four-set victory over Brown, Konvicka anchored the Big Red offense with a series of momentum-shifting kills and speedy serves, before returning Saturday to help lead the charge in a straight-set sweep of Yale at Newman Arena. Her consistency at the net and presence in every rotation have been pivotal to Cornell's success this season.

Konvicka's honor marks the latest in a string of standout performances for Cornell, which continues to showcase its depth and determination as Ivy League play heats up. The Big Red will look to keep their unbeaten streak alive as they hit the road next weekend to face Princeton and Penn on their home courts.
