ITHACA, N.Y. - The Cornell equestrian team will travel to Alfred, N.Y. on Sunday to compete in Alfred Show I at Alfred University.

The Big Red is coming off a successful weekend at RIT, where Cornell earned the title of High Point Team at RIT Show II on Sunday and finished as Reserve High Point Team at RIT Show I on Saturday. Erin Morera and Madelyn Samtani were High Point Riders and Riley Gerardo was Reserve High Point Rider at Sunday's competition where the Big Red were two-points shy of a perfect point card.

Morera recorded first place finishes in both intermediate flat and open fences at RIT Show II, while Gerardo captured first place in open flat and open fences across the two shows. Other notable performances included Savannah Fasner, Samtani and Jillian Ryan, who each earned first place finishes in limit fences at RIT Show II. Ryan qualified for regionals and pointed out of limit fences after her performance on Sunday, Oct. 5.

The Big Red will look to continue its momentum at Alfred Show I on Sunday.
