BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Cornell women's cross country team put together a steady, balanced effort on Friday at the Paul Short Invitational, earning a 15th-place finish in the prestigious Gold Race at Lehigh University.

Mairead Clas led the charge for the Big Red, finishing 46th overall in a deep field with a time of 20:47 over the 6K course. Hannah Kersten followed in 69th at 21:03, while Maisie McManus added a strong 101st-place showing in 21:17.

Rounding out Cornell's scoring five were Evelyn Prodoehl in 112th (21:21) and Bronwyn Parks in 147th (21:33), helping the Big Red secure their top-15 team finish among more than 40 programs.

Cornell's cohesive pack running and late-race surges highlighted the team's progress against top regional and nationally ranked competition.

The Big Red will look to carry that momentum into next week as they head to New Jersey to race at the Princeton Fall Classic.
