| By:
ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's polo team outscored the St. Croix Polo Club 4-0 in the third quarter after going into halftime timed to claim a 15-12 victory on Friday evening at Oxley Equestrian Center. The Big Red improved to 4-0 to begin a three-game weekend.

Benito Jaramillo-Samper scored a game-high seven goals and both Malachi Light and Max Sponer added four apiece as the Big Red rallied back from an early 4-0 deficit to remain unbeaten on the season. After trailing 5-2 after the first chukker and 7-5 in the second, Cornell went on a 7-1 run that put it in the lead entering the fourth, 12-8. St. Croix began the fourth with three consecutive goals to climb within 12-11, but Sponer and Jaramillo each scored to give the Big Red some breathing room and Light finished it off with a score late to seal the win.

The Big Red will visit Babson on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. and Harvard on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. to complete the long weekend.
