ITHACA, N.Y. --- The Cornell equestrian team earned the title of High Point Team at Cornell Show I on Sunday. Jianna Simcik was named High Point Rider for the Big Red.
 
Evelyn Gurvich, Halle Avartin, Uma Comfort, Jianna Simcik and Alexa Carey all qualified for regionals at the show.
 
Catie O'Shea (introductory), Alexa Carey (introductory), Sydney Mallow (pre-novice), Uma Comfort (novice), Evelyn Gurvich (novice), Lilian Skillern (limit flat), Jianna Simcik (intermediate flat, intermediate fences), Jillian Ryan (intermediate fences), Riley Gerardo (open fences) and Erin Morera (open fences) all recorded first place finishes for Cornell in the show.
 
Clara Beck (limit flat), Estelle Azurin (limit fences), Halle Avartin (limit fences), Erin Morera (intermediate flat), Allegra Gonzalez Barbieri (open fences) and Riley Gerardo (open flat) all recorded second place finishes for the Big Red.
 
Natalie Ferguson (limit flat) recorded a third-place finish for Cornell.
 
The Big Red will be back in action on Nov. 15 and Nov. 16 at the Nazareth Show I and Nazareth Show II.
