ITHACA, N.Y. -- Six Cornell sprint football players earned CSFL postseason honors on Tuesday, highlighted by first-team selections for sophomore defensive lineman Ben Roerden and junior defensive back

Alexei DiDonato received honorable mention recognition. The awards were voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Big Red secured multiple first-team honorees for the first time since 2018.
Roerden paced Cornell's defense with 5.5 sacks and added 45 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and a blocked kick while starting all eight games. He recorded at least one sack in six contests, including a career-high 10 tackles with 2.5 TFLs and a sack in the season-ending win at Penn.
Meier, now a two-time All-CSFL pick, excelled at defensive back with 39 tackles, 8.5 TFLs, two pass breakups and two blocked kicks. He posted 10 tackles against both Molloy and Army West Point and notched 3.5 TFLs with two breakups versus Army. Offensively, he added 197 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 63 carries.
Lay led the Big Red in receptions (34), receiving yards (322) and touchdown catches (five), ranking second in the CSFL in the latter category. He logged multiple receptions in every game and delivered seven catches for 97 yards and two scores against Chestnut Hill.
Leaird made an immediate impact as a freshman, leading the conference in kick return average (23.1) with 486 yards on 21 returns. He added 51 tackles - second on the team - along with an interception, five pass breakups, a TFL and two blocked kicks. His season included 13 tackles at Mansfield and a 46-yard return at Mansfield.
Roberts earned honorable mention after leading the CSFL with seven field goals (7-of-10), including a 7-of-8 mark inside 40 yards. He finished with 30 points, tied for the team lead and added three touchbacks on 25 kickoffs.
DiDonato started every game and posted 43 tackles, a team-best 12.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, an interception, four breakups, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and two blocked kicks. He logged standout performances throughout the season, including nine tackles with 3.5 TFLs at Molloy and a dominant finale at Penn featuring 2.5 TFLs, a sack, an interception and a blocked kick.
