ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell women's fencing went 6-1 at the Vassar invitational on Sunday, Nov. 9, narrowly defeating nationally-ranked Yale 14-13. The team's biggest win of the day came in a 24-3 victory over Hunter.
The sabre squad proved pivotal, posting a 41-16 record on the day, while the foil and epee teams sported 39-24 and 36-29 records, respectively. In Cornell's narrow win over Ivy foe Yale, it was the foil squad that helped secure the win, posting a 6-3 record.
