ITHACA, N.Y. — Cornell men's hockey's
Dalton Bancroft has been honored by ECAC Hockey, receiving Second Team All-ECAC Hockey honors, it was announced Wednesday afternoon by the conference office.
Bancroft led Cornell in goals and points (12-8—20) after appearing in all 22 ECAC Hockey contests this season. Posting six multi-point games against conference opposition — tied for the sixth-highest total among players in the 12-team league — Bancroft registered a career-high four points (3-1—4) in the Big Red's final regular-season home game against St. Lawrence on Feb. 22. He also tallied multi-goal efforts against Brown on Nov. 8 (2-1—3) and in road games against Princeton (Jan. 17) and Yale (Feb. 15).
Across 29 regular-season games, Bancroft (14-9—23) owned the team lead in goals while trailing sophomore forward
Ryan Walsh (13-12—25) by two points for the team lead in the category. His three game-winning goals in ECAC Hockey contests was tied for the fifth-most game-winners.
Returning to the ice after defeating No. 11-seeded Yale, 5-1, this past Saturday night at Lynah Rink, the No. 6-seeded Big Red will travel to Hamilton, N.Y., to face No. 3-seeded Colgate (18-13-3, 13-7-1 ECAC Hockey) in the 2025 ECAC Men's Hockey Championship quarterfinals. All games of the best-of-three series from the Class of 1965 Arena are slated for 7 p.m. puck drops. Each game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and over the airwaves on WHCU (870 AM, 97.7 FM, whcuradio.com).
