ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell junior Ketki Ketkar earned firs-team USFCA All-Northeast Region honors to lead five Big Red fencers honored on Monday afternoon. In addition to Ketkar's selection in epee, senior Renata Chusid (second team) and junior Mia Jo (honorable mention) were recognized in foil and  both sophomore Samantha Marsee (second team) and junior Fiona Neibart (honorable mention) were sabre selections.

Ketkar, returning bronze medalist at the NCAA championships in epee, won a bronze at the NCAA Regional championships. The junior sports a 52-18 record this season and is 147-49 for her career entering nationals. The three-time All-Ivy selection earned a spot at nationals for the second straight year.

Chusid is a two-time NCAA qualifier coming off an 11th-place finish at NCAA Regionals in foil, her second career top 12 effort. Chusid sports a team-best 75 wins (75-41) this season and is 179-98 in her four seasons.

Jo took 14th at NCAA Regionals, her best career finish at the event. She is 41-46 this season after splitting 12 bouts at regionals and now owns 72 career victories in two seasons.

In her first competitive season, Marsee reached the NCAA Championships in sabre following her ninth-place effort at regionals. She is 69-38 in her primary weapon this year to rank third on the team in victories.

Neibart made her first career regionals appearance count, placing 12th overall and making the final pool. She closed her regular campaign with a 39-33 mark to give her a 68-48 career record.

Ketkar, Chusid and Marsee will all fence at the 2025 NCAA Championships beginning on Saturday, March 22 at Penn State's Multi-Sport Facility. In all, 18 have qualified for NCAAs under head coach Ariana Klinkov.

The women's championships will begin at 9 a.m. with the first three rounds of epee competition, followed by foil (11 a.m.) and sabre (1:30 p.m.). Should any of the Big Red advance past the opening day of competition, they will move into rounds four and five, set to begin on Friday, March 22 at 9 a.m. The semifinals and finals of each weapon will be streamed on ESPN+ beginning at 1:30 p.m.
