FEDERAL WAY, Wash.- Pietro Ubertalli will get set to compete in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke along with the 200-yard IM at the 2025 NCAA Championships at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center. Ubertalli will begin with his first slate of preliminary round action on Thursday, March 27 at 1:00 p.m. ET, and could potentially be scheduled to wrap up with his last finals swim on Saturday, March 29 at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Pietro has had a great season.  At Ivies he dropped large amounts in all his events, to break 5 school records, including tying the Ivy Meet and League record in the 200 backstroke.  That time in the 200 back was a three second drop from his time last year, which placed third at Ivies.  Next week, the goal will be to try and make a final swim.", Wes Newman, the Philip H. The last swimmer to make nationals from Cornell was Ilya Exdokimov '18, who competed in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke as a senior in 2018. The last Cornellian to compete in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke at NCAA's was Coach Wes Newman's teammate, Stefano Caprara '06.
