Men's Track and Field Claim Three New Top 10 Marks at the Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. – Cornell men's track and field competed in the first two days of the 2025 adidas Raleigh Relays in four separate events and set new school records.

Damian Hackett led the way in the 1500m, finishing fourth with a time of 3:36.78, shaving over three seconds off his own school record with his new personal best. Close behind, Pierre Attiogbe placed sixth in the same event, clocking 3:37.13, which now ranks him second in Cornell's all-time record books for the 1500m.

Also in the 1500m, Peyton Shute achieved a personal best with a time of 3:52.84, adding to the team's strong showing in the event. In the steeplechase, Derek Amicon battled to finish 28th, crossing the line in 8:56.17.

Meanwhile, in the 5000m, Matthew O'Brien set a personal best with a time of 14:03.22, finishing 79th in a highly competitive field and landing himself in sixth in Cornell's record books for the event.
