Lightweight Rowing Posts Trio of Victories at National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. — The Cornell men's lightweight rowing program registered a trio of victories at this weekend's National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational, hosted by Princeton University on Lake Carnegie.

In Saturday's trio of races, Cornell's 3V8 crew posted a first-place finish over Georgetown's 3V8 and the Big Red's 4V8 crews. Rounding out Saturday's races, the Big Red's 1V8 crew placed first, ahead of Georgetown and Mercyhurst's 1V8+ crews.

On Sunday, the Big Red's lone first-place finish also came from its 1V8+ crew, finishing ahead of Navy and Columbia's top crews. Cornell's 2V8+ and 3V8+ crews each finished in second place, placing behind Columbia and Penn's respective crews.
