ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell equestrian team will compete in its final tuneup for nationals when it hosts the Ivy Show on Sunday, April 27 at Oxley Equestrian Center. The Big Red will welcome Brown, Penn and Princeton to the ring this weekend.
The Big Red will attempt to claim its seventh consecutive High Point team crown at the event dating back to 2017. Cornell has won seven total Ivy Show titles under the direction of head coach
Joanna Novakovic, who announced her retirement following this season. Cornell has placed fourth or better in all of its events this season, including eight first-place and one second-place finishes.
Two weeks ago, the Big Red took fourth place at the Zone II Championships in West Virginia. Junior
Riley Gerardo was champion for the Cacchione Cup and will join classmate
Jianna Simcik and sophomore
Sunny Liu at nationals. It will be Gerardo's second appearance at nationals.
