REEDSVILLE, W.Va. -- The Cornell equestrian team finished fourth at the Zone II Championships and qualified three riders for nationals when competition concluded this past weekend at JW Ruby Research Farm as hosted by West Virginia University. Junior Riley Gerardo was champion for the Cacchione Cup and will join classmate Jianna Simcik and sophomore Sunny Liu at nationals. 

Gerardo will compete for the Cacchione Cup at nationals, while Simick (limit flat) and Liu (novice flat) both claimed Reserve Champion honors to qualify their spot for nationals beginning on May 1 at Tryon International in Mill Spring, N.C.
