JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Damian Hackett punched his ticket to Oregon in the 1500m on Friday at the NCAA East Preliminaries in Jacksonville Florida.
Hackett improved on his first round time by keeping each split under a minute to cross the finish line fourth overall with a time of 3:39.67 and earn his way to Oregon for the national championships.
Derek Amicon also represented in the 3000m steeplechase. With a time of 8:51.95, Amicon came in the top 20 placing 19th coming in seventh in his heat.
