Miller Joins Football Staff as Director of Recruiting Operations & External Relations

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Roger J. Weiss '61 Head Coach of Cornell Football Dan Swanstrom has announced the addition of Morgan Miller to the Cornell football staff as Director of Recruiting Operations & External Relations.

"We are thrilled to welcome Morgan to our staff as Director of Recruiting Operations and External Relations,: commented Swanstrom. "Morgan brings an outstanding combination of high-level athletic experience, a proven work ethic, and a deep understanding of college athletics. Her background as a Big Ten Champion and Scholar-Athlete, along with her hands-on operations experience in both football and Olympic sports, will make an immediate impact on our program. Morgan's leadership, organization, and ability to connect with people will help elevate our recruiting efforts and strengthen the relationships that support Cornell Football."

Miller joins the Big Red from Wake Forest Football, where she served as a football operations assistant during the 2025 season, handling travel coordination, scheduling, and day-to-day team logistics. She also brings valuable event management experience from Ohio State Athletics, where she worked as an event management intern for all 36 Buckeye athletic programs, along with football operations work at Ithaca College.

Miller earned numerous academic honors during her time at Ohio State, including Ohio State Scholar Athlete recognition from 2022-25, Big Ten Distinguished Scholar honors from 2023-25, and Academic All-Big Ten selection from 2023-25. She also received the CRCA Scholar Athlete award in 2024 and 2025 and was recognized with the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award in 2023.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this historic program and for the support this staff has given me," said Miller. "I am looking forward to helping develop this team and building a long-lasting foundation for the future."

Miller earned her bachelor's degree in Sport Industry from The Ohio State University in 2024 and her master's degree in Kinesiology: Sport Management in 2025. Miller was a four-year member of the Ohio State rowing team, helping the Buckeyes capture the 2022 Big Ten Rowing Championship and the 2024 2V4 Big Ten title.

In this restructured role (formerly Director of Operations), Miller will manage all recruiting logistics and Cornell Football's recruiting experience strategy while also helping to drive the program's external relations efforts in partnership with the SCL/Athletics AAD team and Ticketing & Fan Engagement office.

These efforts will include administering appropriate marketing and messaging to the Cornell football alumni base and other constituent groups, supporting and developing promotional strategies, planning and supporting key engagement events, as well as serving as a collaborative partner and liaison to several on-campus partners and external organizations to proactively promote the football program through community partnerships and programming, and campus connections.
