Bergmann Named To 2026 National Goaltender of The Year Watch List

ITHACA, N.Y. - Junior goaltender Annelies Bergmann has been named to the Women's Hockey Commissioners Association Goalie of the Year Watch List. Bergmann comes off of a 2024-25 campaign where she was ECAC Hockey Goalie of The Year and All-America selection. She joined Ava McNaughton and Eve Gascon as a finalist for the 2024 National Goaltender of the Year award.

Bergmann is included with 30 net-minders on the watch list, including nine goalies from the ECAC Hockey ranks. Through the first half of the 2025-26 season, the Detroit native has earned 11 victories, and has produced with 463 saves, a .928 save percentage, 1.89 goals-against average, and four shutouts.

Bergmann and and the no. 10-ranked Cornell women's ice hockey team will return to the ice next weekend for road-action against Ivy League foes Brown and Yale. The Big Red will meet the Bears on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. at Meehan Auditorium. Cornell will close out the weekend-series on Saturday against Yale at 3:00 p.m. at Ingalls Ice Rink.
