ITHACA, N.Y. — The seventh-ranked Cornell women's squash team opens Ivy League play this weekend with a pair of road matches, facing No. 13 Dartmouth on Saturday before taking on top-ranked Harvard on Sunday.

The Big Red (4-2) head to New Hampshire and Massachusetts for its first Ancient Eight competition of the season riding the momentum of a hard-fought victory over No. 9 Drexel on Sunday. After opening the year with back-to-back wins, Cornell has alternated victories and losses over its last four contests.

LAST TIME OUT
Cornell edged Drexel, 5-4, on Sunday at the Belkin Squash Courts in a tightly contested match. The Big Red secured crucial victories at the top and bottom of the lineup to claim the win. Junior Xin Ying Yee delivered a straight-game victory at No. 1, while freshman Lamees Shalaby prevailed in five games at No. 9 to help seal the victory.

SCOUTING THE BIG RED
Senior Alysa Ali and junior Maya Voloshin are tied for the team lead in victories, with both players entering the weekend with 5-1 records. Ali has split time between positions 1-3, while Voloshin has competed between positions 5-8.

Cornell has posted 5-1 records in matches played at position Nos. 1, 3 and 7.

SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
The Big Green (3-2, 0-1 Ivy) will be playing its second match in three days, as it faces No. 10 Amherst (6-1) this evening before hosting Cornell on Saturday. Dartmouth hasn't competed since defeating No. 17 Colby, 6-3, on Dec. 6.

Six Big Green players are tied for the team lead in wins with 3-2 records: Maya Shroff, Maya Mansoor, Nathalie Taylor, Kriti Muthu, Callie Worth and Uma Patnaik.

SCOUTING HARVARD
The Crimson (2-0, 1-0 Ivy) remain unbeaten on the season and will be competing for the first time since posting a 7-2 road victory over No. 6 Virginia on Dec. 5. Seven Harvard players carry perfect 2-0 records into the weekend: Caroline Fouts, Saran Nghiem, Lucie Stefanoni, Ona Blasco, Ocean Ma, Dixon Hill and Molly Stoltz.

Harvard has been dominant this season, losing just two individual matches all year (16-2), one ahead of No. 2 Penn (60-3) for the fewest matches lost among College Squash Association programs.

SERIES HISTORY
Cornell holds a 19-16 all-time advantage over Dartmouth and enters Saturday's match riding a five-match winning streak against the Big Green. The Big Red have won at least eight matches in four of those five victories and are 17-2 in the last 19 meetings.

Last year, Cornell cruised past Dartmouth, 8-1, behind five straight-game victories, including wins from Yee (No. 1), Aishwarya Khubchandani (No. 2) and Ali (No. 4).

Harvard remains undefeated all-time against Cornell, holding a perfect 32-0 record in the series. The Crimson won last season's meeting at the Belkin Squash Courts, 8-1. Yee provided Cornell's lone point with a straight-game victory over Nghiem at the No. 1 position, 13-11, 11-3, 14-12.
