CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The seventh-ranked Cornell women's squash team was shut out 9-0 by top-ranked Harvard on Sunday afternoon at the Murr Center Squash Courts, dropping the Big Red to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in Ivy League play.

Harvard (4-0, 2-0 Ivy) dominated from top to bottom, recording its third 9-0 victory of the season. The Crimson swept all nine positions in straight games, with the exception of junior Saniya Jaggi's four-game battle against Sarita Popat at No. 8.

Despite the lopsided score, several Big Red players pushed their opponents in competitive games. At the No. 1 position, junior Xin Ying Yee came close in all three games against Caroline Fouts, falling 11-8, 12-10, 13-11. Freshman Vicky Lai kept all three games tight at No. 4, losing a trio of 11-9 decisions to Ocean Ma.

Seniors Alysa Ali and Aishwarya Khubchandani also claimed games that reached double digits in their respective matches at the No. 3 and No. 2 positions.
