Seven Big Red Women Earn Ivy League Distinctions

ITHACA, N.Y. - Seven Cornell women's ice hockey team members garnered Ivy League honors. Goaltender Annelies Bergmann and defender Grace Dwyer earned nods on the first team. Georgia Schiff and Alyssa Regalado were named a second team members. Avi Adam and Piper Grober earned honorable mention selections. Abby Thibodeau rounded out Cornell's honors with Academic All-Ivy.

Big Red captain Dwyer has been a force on the blue-line for Cornell all season. She has added offensive production, currently owning 20 points on six goals and 14 assists. Dwyer has played a major role in leading the Big Red to the ninth-ranked scoring defense in the nation, along with the 10th-ranked penalty-kill. Bergmann has continued her success in net, holding a 1.84 goals-against average with a .931 save percentage. She has claimed 18 wins on the season, seven of which have come as shutouts.

Schiff has been a key element to Cornell's success. She is currently tied for the top spot on the team with 26 points on 10 goals and 16 assists. Her production on offense includes a pair of game-winners along with three power-play goals. Her effort on the defensive side includes a team-leading 42 blocked shots. Regalado has been a key component of the Big Red's offensive and defensive production. She holds 19 points on six goals and 13 assists, paired with 40 blocked shots so far on the season.

Adam has been a consistent and reliable playmaker for the Big Red. She is tied for the lead with Schiff in team points with 26 on nine goals and 17 assists. Grober has proven to be an offensive blue-liner, holding 23 point on the season on nine goals and 14 assists. She has also proven to put her body on the line, claiming 35 blocked shots.
