ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell women's basketball junior
Rachel Kaus has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Student-athletes must have at least a 3.5 GPA and play in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
Kaus had a breakout season in 2025-26, starting all 27 games while leading the Big Red in scoring at 11.2 points per game and ranked second on the team in rebounds per contest at 4.7. The Lake Bluff, Ill., native recorded double figures in 17 games, including a career-best 25 vs. Penn on Feb. 13, going 11-for-20 from the field. She recorded a double-double on Nov. 14 at Mercyhurst, tallying 18 points and 13 rebounds and led the Big Red in scoring on nine different occasions. Kaus finished the season shooting 43.6 percent from the field, including 36.4 percent from three. At the line, she shot 75.8 percent.
Cornell finished the season 9-18 overall and 4-10 in conference action.
