One of the team’s top athletes, Reeves emerged as a starter as a junior. A deadeye shooter who can create his own offense, Reeves is an efficient scorer who has shown the ability to get in the lane at will. The 6-4 Reeves is also one of the top backcourt defenders in the Ivy League. His experience in the lineup will be key as yet another dangerous threat Cornell can put on the court.

As a senior
Reeves played in 33 games with five starts, averaging 5.1 points in 18.2 minutes per game. He shot 49 percent from the floor and 45 percent from 3-point range during the season, while his 31-19 assist:turnover ratio ranked among the best in the Ivy League. Reeves also set career highs for steals (25) and blocks (5). An ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District first-team selection, Reeves had five double figure scoring games, including a season-best 16 points in the win at Massachusetts. In four games in the Legends Classic, Reeves averaged 11.8 points and made 10-of-20 3-pointers. He scored 13 points in the victory at Columbia and tied a career-high with three steals at No. 1 Kansas. Reeves hit at least two 3-pointers in 12 different games, including four vs. Toledo.

As a junior

Reeves averaged 9.0 points,  2.0  rebounds,  1.4  assists and 0.6  steals in 28 starts to help the Big Red secure its second straight Ivy League title. Reeves made at  least  two 3-pointers  in 15 games and hit double figures 11 times during the year. He ended the year shooting 44 percent from the floor, 42 percent from 3-point range and connected on 22-of-23 free-throws (96 percent). Reeves had a career-high 26 points on 10-of-14 shooting (5-of-6 3-pointers) in a win over Loyola-Chicago and also had a 21-point effort in his first college start against South Dakota. He went 5-of-8 from 3-point range in that contest. Reeves notched 15 points at Bryant and Dartmouth and 14 points and five rebounds vs. Columbia. Reeves notched 15 points and a career-best six assists vs. Eastern Michigan, while being credited with 15 points and three steals at No. 16 Syracuse. Reeves averaged 15.3 points, 3.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds in the team's four NIT Preseason Tip-Off games, hitting 12-of-24 3-pointers (50 percent) and all seven of his free throws in helping the Big Red to a 3-1 record.

As a sophomore
Reeves saw action in 27 contests in 2007-08, averaging 11.6 minutes per game while scoring 3.5 points and grabbing 1.5 rebounds per game. He added 14 assists, nine steals and four blocked shots while shooting 45 percent from the field overall and 43 percent from 3-point range. Reeves posted 14 points off the bench in a showdown contest against Brown that essentially sealed the Ivy title, hitting 5-of-5 field goals and all four 3-pointers. The 4-of-4 shooting from the arc tied a school record. He posted 11 points in the win over Alvernia.

As a freshman
Reeves emerged late in the year and averaged 3.5 points in 10.9 minutes off the bench in 17 games. After missing the first eight contests of the season with a back injury and 11 contests overall, Reeves hit on 11-of-22 3-pointers and shot 51 percent from the floor overall. The freshman registered a career-high 16 points off the bench against Harvard and notched 12 points, three assists and two steals at Penn.

At Burlington HS
A first-team all-state selection by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association as a senior at Burlington HS, Reeves averaged 23.6 points in his final season. Scouting service Rivals.com named Reeves second-team all-state for all classes and was a third-team pick by the Wichita Eagle. A four-year starter, Reeves was a second-team all-state selection as a junior after posting 20 points and seven rebounds per contest. He was part of an undefeated state title-winning team his sophomore season. Reeves was named to the Southwest/Plains honorable mention all-stars by Basketball Today. He was named to the all-tournament squad at the Burlington Invitational as a sophomore. He also played football, earning first-team all-state honors as a wide receiver as a junior and senior. As a junior, Reeves caught 39 passes for 865 yards and had seven interceptions on defense to earn all-area honors and holds numerous football records at Burlington. He was selected to play in the 2006 Kansas Shrine Bowl.

Personal
Geoffrey Warren Reeves is the son of Glenn and Rebecca Reeves. He is a triplet who has two sisters, Erica and Alyssa, who both played basketball at Burlington HS. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
