Senior Season - 2008-09
Davenport dressed for 25 games, but did not see game action as a senior. He missed the first two games of the season and both of the Big Red's preseason games due to elbow surgery.

Junior Season - 2007-08
Davenport served as the Big Red's backup as a junior in 2007-08, making one start and three appearances off the bench. He started in the home opener on Nov. 2 against Princeton, taking the loss in the 3-2 contest. He then came off the bench in Cornell's first game in Florida, making a season-high 21 saves but taking the loss against Massachusetts-Lowell. He then made 14 saves on 14 shots against Clarkson on Jan. 20 at Lynah Rink and picked up another eight stops in relief on Feb. 18 at St. Lawrence. Davenport finished the season riding a shutout streak of 60:18, last allowing a goal at the 11:33 mark of the third period against UMass-Lowell on Dec. 28.
Sophomore Season - 2006-07
Davenport returned to Cornell prior to the his sophomore season in 2006-07 and claimed the starting job in the preseason. He picked up a pair of shutouts on the year, making 21 saves in the win over Wayne State on Nov. 26 and picking up 27 stops on Feb. 16 against Quinnipiac. He started each of the first 11 games before missing the Dec. 2 game against Union due to injury. He returned to the lineup at the end of the month and made another six straight starts. He returned to the lineup again on Feb. 11 at Rensselaer and stopped a career-best 28 shots in the 5-1 win. The following week, he backstopped the Big Red to just its third weekend sweep of the season, making 27 saves in a shutout win over Quinnipiac and stopping 37 shots in the 8-4 win over Princeton on Senior Night. He was named the ECAC Hockey League goalie of the week after the two performances. Davenport was tapped to start both of the Big Red's ECACHL quarterfinal games against Quinnipiac, when he picked up 47 saves on 51 shots, but was the hard-luck loser in both contests.
Freshman Season - 2004-05
Davenport began his Cornell career in 2004-05, seeing action in the final nine minutes in the victory over Army. He left school midway throughout he season to continue his development, playing first for the Green Bay Gamblers and then the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL.
Before Cornell
After beginning his collegiate career with Cornell in the 2004-05 season, Davenport left the East Hill and has spent two seasons in the USHL, first with the Green Bay Gamblers and then with the Des Moines Buccaneers. During that time he competed in 52 games and posted a 2.83 goals against average and a .913 save percentage. He also led the Bucs to the 2006 USHL Tier I national championship with a 21-12 record. An honor roll student at Simley HS, Davenport was named the Minnesota high school hockey all-state goalie in 2003 and played for the 2002-03 state runner-up. Davenport was named MVP of the Chicago Showcase and played at the Select 17 Festival.
Personal
Troy Douglas Davenport is the son of Robert and Joan Davenport. He has two older brothers, an older sister and two younger sisters. Davenport is enrolled in Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences.
