Biography

Junior Season - 2008
Di Ricco was named second-team All-Ivy League after his junior season, a year that saw him post a .324 batting average, third on the team, while scoring a team-best 31 runs from the leadoff spot. He also posted a team-best eight stolen bases despite missing a pair of games due to injury. Di Ricco had 11 multi-hit games on the year, including a 3-for-6 performance with four runs scored against Long Island on March 19. He also scored four times in the win against NJIT on March 21, going 3-for-3 in that contest. He had a solid series at Columbia on April 19-20, going 6-for-16 with four runs scored and three driven in and a stolen base. He also cracked his first career home run against the Lions in game one of a doubleheader on April 20.

Sophomore Season - 2007
Di Ricco had another solid season as a sophomore, posting a .329 average while starting all 38 games in left field on his way to being named one of two of the team’s Most Improved Players. He was named honorable mention all-Ivy League for his play as a sophomore. He showed increased patience at the plate, drawing a team-best 25 walks, and was the only player to walk more than strike out on the year. Di Ricco also scored a team-best 31 runs and was successful in eight of nine stolen base attempts. He closed out the year on a high note, scoring a run in six straight games and recording a pair of hits in each of his final five games.

Freshman Season - 2006
Di Ricco was a regular in the Cornell lineup as a freshman, appearing in 33 games, making 25 starts, all in left field. Di Ricco collected his first collegiate hit in his first game, going 2-for-4 against Bucknell with one run batted in. Di Ricco recorded five games with multiple hits, highlighted by a 5-for-6 showing against Penn. In that contest, he scored three times and drove in three others. For the year, Di Ricco posted a .247 average with four doubles, 11 runs scored and 16 runs batted in.

At Menlo-Atherton

Di Ricco had one of the best seasons in the state of California in 2005. A Cal-Hi Sports first-team all-state selection as a senior, Di Ricco set school records in batting average (.605), hits in a season (46) and doubles in a season (12). He was also named first-team All-Central Coast Section, first-team All-San Mateo County and Player of the Year in the PAL Bay Division. As a junior, Di Ricco was a first-team All-San Mateo County and first-team All PAL selection. His four-year career varsity batting average was .468.

Personal
Domenic Bryan Di Ricco is the son of Dennis Di Ricco and Connie Doherty, and he has a younger brother. He is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
