Junior Season - 2008
Osterer made nine appearances, all out of the bullpen, for a combined 13.1 innings of work. He struck out 13 batters on the season, including a season-best in a four-inning outing against Long Island on March 19. He worked a scoreless inning on April 3 against LeMoyne, walking one, and again two days later at Brown, allowing two hits but striking out a batter.

Sophomore Season - 2007
Osterer made 12 appearances out of the bullpen for the Big Red, working 20.0 innings on the year and posting a 2-0 mark. He got the win on March 17 against Lehigh, working four innings of one-run relief as the Big Red grabbed a 7-6 win. He then picked up the victory on April 1 against Brown, working three innings of scoreless relief for a 2-1 victory. He struck out 15 batters on the year, and finished with a 6.75 ERA.

Freshman Season - 2006
Osterer had his best outing of his freshman season in his first appearance, pitching four innings of two-run relief against Bucknell on March 4. Both runs were unearned, and he allowed just two hits while walking three and striking out one. He made six appearances out of the bullpen, pitching 12 innings of work.

At Sir Robert Borden
At Sir Robert Borden HS, Osterer was a three-year team captain. During his summers, he was a four-year player with the 19U Ottawa-Nepean Canadians, which won the 2003 and 2004 CEBC league championships. Osterer was selected to pitch for Ontario Youth Team competing at the Baseball Canada Cup in 2004 and won a silver medal with Team Canada at the 17th Maccabi Games in Israel in 2005.

Personal
Stephen Lyon Osterer is the son of Murray and Karen Osterer, and he has an older sister and a younger brother. His sister was a varsity swimmer at Ohio State. He is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
