Sophomore Season - 2009-10
Martino appeared in 35 of the 36 games on the season as a sophomore, missing only the Oct. 30 contest against Dartmouth. She picked up six points on the season, scoring her first in the second game of the season against Mercyhurst. Martino also picked up an assist during the national semifinal contest against the Lakers, helping the Big Red into the national title game. She scored a point in back-to-back games against Union and Colgate on Feb. 20 and 26, tallying an assist in both contests.

Freshman Season - 2008-09
Martino led all defensemen in scoring as a freshman, tallying a goal and 13 assists for 14 points while appearing in all 31 of the Big Red's games. She opened her career with a three-assist game against Vermont on Oct. 24, and added another three multi-point games on the year. She scored her first career goal on Nov. 7 against Princeton, and picked up two assists on Nov. 29 against Niagara. Martino then tallied another pair of two-assist games, one coming on Jan. 17 against Rensselaer and the second on Jan. 31 against Clarkson, both Cornell victories.

Before Cornell
A four-time letter winner, Martino served as captain her junior and senior seasons at Buckingham Browne and Nichols School. As a senior, she was named team MVP and was a three-time all-league team member. Martino was awarded with the 1933 Award her senior year, which is given to the outstanding student athlete, and she also received the Coaches’ Cup. Martino was also a four-time letter winner in softball as a catcher. She served as captain her senior season and was a two-time all-league honoree. With two letters in field hockey, Martino was all-league her junior year. After graduation, she spent one year playing hockey at Cushing Academy. Martino also participated in the national development program for four years.

Personal
Jessica Lee Martino is the daughter of Peter and Kim Martino and has two brothers and a sister. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
