Biography
At Cornell
Junior (2007-08): Chipman played in all 30 of the Big Red’s games as a junior, spending time playing center and wing. In Cornell’s 3-0 win over Union on Jan. 12, she scored the Big Red’s second goal of the game. Chipman also assisted on Brittany Forgues’ power-play goal against St. Lawrence on Feb. 9. She was penalized four times for eight minutes.
Sophomore (2006-07): Chipman played in 28 of 29 games for the Big Red. She notched three points in Cornell’s opening series against Niagara, including a goal and two assists. Chipman was fifth on the team in points with five goals and three assists. She was also third on the team in power play goals with two. Chipman was penalized four times for eight minutes.
Freshman (2005-06): As a freshman, Chipman was tied for fourth on the team in points with 15, including eight goals and seven assists. On two separate occasions she went four games scoring at least one point. On Feb. 25th, she scored a power-play goal to tie the game against Mercyhurst.
Prior to Cornell:
Chipman was named the Westminster team MVP following the 2002-03 season and received the most dedicated and sportsmanship awards after the 2003-04 season. She led her Canada Games team in points in 2002-03. She was a three-time letter winner in hockey, playing forward for Westminster. She also won three letters in soccer and lacrosse
Personal:
Emma Louise Chipman is the daughter of Robert and Margie Chipman and has two brothers, one older and one younger and two younger sisters. She is a student in Cornell's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
