At Cornell
Hochanadel earned his first varsity letter as a junior and will continue to play a big role in 2009 in the defensive backfield and on special teams. A good athlete, he is a prototype safety in the Big Red defensive schemes. Hochanadel played in all 10 contests in 2008, registering nine tackles, including one for a loss. He had a career-high three tackles against Dartmouth and had his first tackle for loss in the season finale vs. Penn. Hochanadel spent his first two seasons competing on the junior varsity. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

At Eastside Catholic
An all-metro selection on both offense (tight end) and defense (safety), Hochanadel was a three-year letter winner at Eastside Catholic HS. A National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete nominee, Hochanadel posted 53 tackles and two interceptions as a senior captain, earning the team’s Coaches Award. He also caught 10 passes for 108 yards on offense. A three-year letter winner in track and field, Hochanadel was part of the school’s state qualifying 4x400 relay team as a junior and finished fourth in the state in the 400 and as part of the 4x400 as a senior.
