At Cornell
Brown earned his third varsity letter after making nine tackles and recording a pass breakup in eight total contests in 2011. He posted season highs of four tackles in victories over both Bucknell and Wagner and had a pass breakup against Yale. Brown lettered as a sophomore at safety, recording 22 tackles and a forced fumble in seven games. He earned his first collegiate start against Colgate, posting a career-high nine tackles. Brown notched six tackles and forced a fumble at Wagner and also made four stops against Brown. He was able to earn time as a reserve in the defensive back field and on special teams as a freshman in 2009. Brown saw action in five contests and registered 11 total tackles, including seven at Colgate and three more vs. Fordham. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

At St. Xavier
A member of the 2007 Division I state championship team at St. Xavier HS, Brown was a two-time letter winner at strong safety. He was named to the 2009 Cincinnati West All-Star team as a senior when he recorded 47 tackles, 12 pass breakups and an interception. Brown was also a member of the 2008 Ohio Division I City Championship lacrosse team.
