Biography

Senior Season - 2010-11
Kennedy's offensive production dipped during his final season, but the team co-captain contributed to the lineup in other ways not clearly defined on the scoresheet. He appeared in all 34 games on the year, scoring two goals and adding seven assists for nine points. He had one multi-point game during the year, picking up two assists in the loss to St. Cloud State on Dec. 29. He scored his first goal of the season, the eventual game-winner, against Alabama-Huntsville on Dec. 3, then tallied a power-play goal in game three of the ECAC Hockey quarterfinal series against Quinnipiac.

Junior Season - 2009-10
Kennedy continued his improvement with his best season to date offensively, scoring seven goals and adding 14 assists for 21 points in 30 games. He had four multi-point games on the season, including a trio of assists in a 5-3 loss at Princeton on Feb. 6. He scored a goal in the season opener against Niagara and chipped in another goal a week later in a win against Harvard. Kennedy scored a goal and had an assist in the win at New Hampshire on Jan. 3. He picked up a pair of assists in the win against Brown on Feb. 12, then had another two four days later against Colgate. Kennedy scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory against St. Lawrence on Jan. 29. For the season, he finished with a +9 rating and 32 minutes worth of penalties.

Sophomore Season - 2008-09

Much like his freshman season, Kennedy came on strong towards the second half of his sophomore year, scoring all nine of his points after the holiday break. He finished the year with nine points on four goals and five assists while appearing in 31 of the Big Red's 36 games. Kennedy picked up his first point of the season on his older brother, Michael's game-tying goal against Colgate in the championship game of the Florida College Classic. He had his first two-point game of the year in the win over Niagara on Jan. 10, scoring a goal and an assist. Kennedy saved his best hockey for the playoffs, tallying three assists in the quarterfinal series against Rensselaer, picking up two helpers in the decisive game three against the Engineers on March 15.

Freshman Season - 2007-08
Kennedy came on strong in the second half of his freshman season to score seven of his 10 points for the year in the final 18 games of the year. He picked up his first career point on Nov. 17 at Dartmouth, collecting an assist, then scored his first career goal in the consolation game of the Florida College Classic on Dec. 29 against Clarkson. Kennedy had his first multi-point game in the Big Red's 6-0 win over Dartmouth on March 29. In the playoffs, he elevated his game to another level, scoring two goals and tallying a pair of assists in the seven post-season contests. For the year, Kennedy scored four goals and had six assists for 10 points in playing 34 of the Big Red's games.

Before Cornell
Kennedy, a winger who shoots left-handed, averaged more than 1.5 points per game in 2006-07 with the St. Thomas Stars, scoring 47 points on 25 goals and 22 assists in just 32 games during the season. He was selected to the All-Western Ontario Hockey League second team, and was selected to play in the WOHL All-Star Game. In addition, he was named the St. Thomas Rookie of the Year in 2005-06.

Personal
Patrick Kennedy is the son of John and JoAnn Kennedy. His brother, Michael, played for the Big Red from 2005-06 through 2008-09. He is enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.
