Biography
At Cornell
Spencer Lane left Cornell as one of the best point guards in Cornell history. A player that showed steady improvement each and every year, she played in 106 career games and has made 65 starts, including each game over the course of her final two seasons. She ended her career ranked eighth all-time in Cornell history in assists (284) and 14th overall in career steals (113). She has handed out at least 100 assists in each of her final two campaigns and finished her senior year ranked first in the Ivy League in both assists and assist-to-turnover ratio, after ranking second in both categories during her junior year.
At Detroit Country Day School
Lane was a four-year varsity letter winner at Detroit Country Day School where she led her team to back-to-back state championships as a junior and senior. She was an all-state selection twice. As a senior, she averaged 6.7 points, 4.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game. She also lettered four times in track and field where she was a two-time state qualifier in the long jump.
Personal
Spencer Arielle Lane is the daughter of Randy and Jacki Lane and has one older sister. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
