Senior Season — 2013
Kazley made a career-high 10 appearances, recording a 3.00 earned run average while walking just two batters in nine innings' work. He had a season-high three strikeouts in his season debut March 16 at Appalachian State. He finished his collegiate career with a 1-2 record and 9.08 ERA.

Junior Season — 2012
Kazley made six relief appearances, including 1.1 scoreless innings against Harvard in his lone Ivy League appearance on March 31. He earned his first career victory with three scoreless innings out of the bullpen on April 25 against Binghamton. Kazley struck out three without allowing a hit or walk.

Sophomore Season — 2011
Kazley was 0-1 with a 19.06 ERA in 5.2 innings of work in 2011. He saw time in five contests with two starts. He allowed one earned run in 1.2 innings of work as a starter against James Madison and pitched 0.2 innings of hitless relief at Appalachian State.

Freshman Season — 2010
Kazley made eight appearances out of the bullpen for the Big Red as a freshman, finishing the year with a 0-0 record and a 12.79 earned-run average. He worked 12.2 innings and struck out four, walking nine. He made his debut on March 24 at Florida Atlantic, working 1.2 scoreless innings. He also pitched a scoreless inning at Army on March 28 and two shutout innings on March 31 at LeMoyne. 

Prior to Cornell
Kazley was selected to play in the Perfect Game Northeast all-star game in 2008 and was picked by the New York Yankees to compete in the Area Code Games tryout that same summer. He served as team captain at McQuaid Jesuit as a senior, earning first-team all-league honors, and helped the team to three straight league championships and an undefeated league mark in each of his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. He was also selected second-team Rawlings preseason all-Northeast. and won a bronze medal at the Empire State Games in 2008, serving as the team's captain. Kazley also ran indoor track , qualifying for the state indoor meet.

Personal
Michael John Kazley is the son of Steven and Jeanne Kazley and has three brothers and a sister. His oldest brother swam at Bucknell before graduating in 1998. He is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
