Career Stats
As a senior
Dambach was Cornell's starting goaltender for much of the season, playing and starting in 12 games for the Big Red. She recorded more than 500 minutes of playing time and had a 10.67 goals against average. She made 46 saves on the season and allowed a low of six goals in a full 60 minutes against Harvard to open Ivy League play.
As a junior
Dambach started all 14 contests in goal, posting a 10.76 goals against average and a .398 save percentage in 691:09 in the cage. She posted 10 saves against both North Carolina and Syracuse and stopped eight shots in helping the Big Red upset No. 2 Florida. Dambach added 16 ground balls and six caused turnovers during the season. Over her final four games of the season, Dambach's numbers improved to 7.00 GAA with a .526 save percentage. She earned Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week during the final week of the regular season.
As a sophomore
Dambach took over the starting goalkeeper job early in the season and posted a 9.50 goals against average and a .439 save percentage in 13 contests, including 10 starts. In the win over Princeton, Dambach made a career-high 12 saves and surrendered just eight goals. She also was outstanding in the decisive win over Yale to earn a spot in the Ivy tournament, making six saves and allowing just three goals in a 12-5 win. She spearheaded a near-upset over Syracuse with nine saves against just seven goals allowed in a 7-6 loss.
As a freshman
Dambach saw action in four games as a reserve in 2009, posting am 8.45 goals against average and a .480 save percentage. She was in goal for more than 92 minutes, surrendering 13 goals and making 12 saves without picking up a decision. She played the second half in losses to NCAA-tournament bound teams Penn and Princeton, collecting nine total saves. She made her collegiate debut in a victory over LeMoyne, making a pair of saves in 18 minutes.
At Mendham HS
Dambach was a four-year starter in goal for Mendham HS, helping her team to an 86-7 record. A first-team All-American and Scholastic All-American as a senior captain, Dambach posted a 5.00 goals-against average and a .690 save percentage in her final season en route to first-team all-state honors. She was a two-time first-team all-conference, all-North Jersey and all-Morris County pick while helping her team to a pair of state titles (2005 and 2006), two state Group II titles (2007 and 2008) and four league titles. Dambach’s teams also won three county and two sectional championships. A two-year member of the Upper Atlantic All-Region team, she was named an honorable mention All-America pick as a junior and was a member of the all-state third team.
Personal
Kyla Noelle Dambach is the daughter of Peter and Kathleen Dambach and has two older sisters and an older brother, as well as a younger sister. Her sister, Kaitlyn, was a swimmer at Loyola (Md.), while her brother, Kristopher, plays lacrosse at Bentley. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
