Sophomore Season — 2012-13
Cole made his Lynah Rink debut, skating on the wing in the Big Red's game against Brown on Jan. 26. He had one shot on goal in the contest, but did not factor into any scoring.

Freshman Season — 2011-12
Cole appeared in one game, making his collegiate debut in the Big Red's 5-3 victory over Clarkson in the consolation game of the Florida College Hockey Classic on Dec. 30. Cole did not find the scoresheet, but had a couple of shots on goal.

Cole played two seasons with Cornwall of the CJHL, appearing in a total of 99 games over that span. He played in 34 contests in 2010-11, scoring 13 goals and adding 18 assists for 31 points. Cole picked up his game in the playoffs, leading the Colts to the championship series, and scored six goals and had five assists in 16 games. Cole was also named to the CJHL All-Star Game in 2010-11.

Personal
Kevin Scott Cole is the son of Dave and Karen Cole and has a younger sister. Both of his parents, a grandfather and three aunts all attended Cornell, with his father playing for the Big Red hockey team in 1981-82. His mother and two of his aunts, Alison and Megan Shull, played for the Cornell women's hockey team in the mid-1980s. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
