Biography

Second-Team All-Ivy (2012, 2013)

At Cornell

D'Epagnier was a two-time second-team All-Ivy honoree during her career. She finished her time on East Hill ranked fourth overall in career hitting percentage (.297), fourth in career block assists (266), sixth overall in total career blocks (331) and 10th in career block solos (64).
 
As a senior, she ranked second on the team in both kills per set (2.12) and attack percentage (.262). She also led the Ivy League with 1.16 blocks per set, a mark that ranked 16th in Cornell history for blocks per game in a single season. Her 116 blocks on the year were 12th in Big Red history and her 33 solo blocks ranked 14th overall.
 
D’Epagnier was named second-team All-Ivy following a junior campaign in which she ranked first on the team, second in the Ivy League and 44th in the nation in hitting percentage(.361), was first on the team and third in the conference in blocks (1.14 per set), and ranked fourth on the team and sixth in the conference in service aces per game (0.29) D'Epagnier finished the year ranked in the top-20 of several Cornell single-season categories, including hitting percentage (third – .361), total blocks (13th – 111), block assists (14th – 87), blocks per set (17th – 1.14) and block solos (18th – 24). She averaged 2.27 kills per set during the season and was named the Ivy League Player of the Week on Nov. 12 after helping the Big Red to a victory over Princeton for the first time in six seasons and its first Ivy League weekend sweep since the end of the 2008 season.


Prior to Cornell
D’Epagnier was a three-year letter winner at Southern Lehigh High School. As a team captain during her senior season, she led her squad to a PIAA District 11 championship and became the first volleyball player in school history to be named PIAA All-State. She was the team's MVP as a senior and was also named her school's Scholar Athlete Award winner. D’Epagnier was also named a Morning Call All-Area first team selection, after a second-team selection as a junior. She also played for Synergy Volleyball Club.

Personal
Rachel Joanne D’Epagnier is the daughter of Joanne and Thomas D’Epagnier and she has two older brothers. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
