Junior Season — 2013-14
Perelman was 6-3 in singles and 3-4 in doubles during non-scoring tournament matches. She did not appear in any dual matches.

Sophomore Season — 2012-13
Perelman was 1-1 from the No. 6 singles position in dual matches. After falling to Madlena Kurasz, 6-1, 7-5, on Feb. 2., Perelman bounced back with a 6-0, 6-0 whitewashing of Albany's Fran White on March 2. Perelman was also 9-2 in singles and 5-3 in doubles during non-scoring tournaments. She teamed with classmate Courtney Malinchak to win the 'B' doubles title at the Cornell Fall Invitational on Sept. 16. Perelman also advanced all the way to the 'B' singles final of the same tournament before winning the 'B' singles title at the Cornell Winter Invitational on Jan. 27.

Freshman Season — 2011-12
Perelman was a stellar 12-5 in spring doubles play, including a 10-2 record with Rosemary Li which included 10 consecutive victories to kick off the dual match portion of the Big Red's schedule. In singles competition, Perelman was 6-8 in the spring from the bottom two spots of the order. She had a four-match winning streak in February. In tournament play, Perelman was 8-6 in singles and 7-4 in doubles. She teamed with Ryann Young to finish second in the A Bracket of the Cornell Winter Invitational.

Prior to Cornell
Perelman was a four-time letter winner at Shady Side Academy, playing No. 1 singles. She led her team to four sectional titles, three WPIAL titles, and the PIAA state title as a freshman and again as a senior. Perelman earned the individual Western Pennsylvania section title as a junior and senior, as well as finishing as the runner-up at the WPIAL and PIAA States. Perelman captained the team as a senior and also won the Best All-Around Pennsylvania Female Athlete Award.

Personal
Sara Melissa Perelman is the daughter of Gregg and Susie Perelman and has two younger sisters. She is enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.
