At Cornell
Junior (2012): Bronzino started all 13 games for the 15th ranked defensive unit in the nation despite battling a nagging injury all season long. He finished the year ranked second on the team with 14 caused turnovers and was fifth overall with 28 ground balls. Bronzino picked up at least one ground ball in all but two contests and caused at least one turnover in 9-of-13 games. He had a season-high four ground balls against Denver, Harvard and Princeton and posted two caused turnovers in games against Yale, Denver, Harvard, Syracuse and Princeton.
Sophomore (2011): Bronzino earned the first All-Ivy accolade of his career, as he was named honorable mention following a sophomore season in which he started all 17 games for the Big Red. A member of one of the top defensive units in the nation, he ranked 34th in the country in caused turnovers (1.53) and 70th overall in ground balls per game (3.35). Bronzino also scored two goals and registered two assists on the season. He had a career-high seven ground balls against Binghamton. Bronzino was also named to the 2011 Ivy League All-Tournament team.
Freshman (2010): Bronzino suffered a broken wrist in Cornell’s final preseason scrimmage and was sidelined for the first 12 games of the season before breaking into the line-up. As a rookie, he broke into the starting line-up for the final five games of the season and was instrumental to the Big Red defense. In just six games, he picked up 11 ground balls and caused six turnovers. He also scored one goal vs. Army during the NCAA quarterfinals, while holding the Black Knight’s Garrett Thul to just one goal.
At Conestoga HS
A high school All-American, Bronzino lettered three times at Conestoga high school. As a senior captain, he led his team to a 23-2 record and finished as Central League Champions and as the PIAA runner-up. His team also won the Central League in 2007. A three-time All-Central League selection, Bronzino was the league MVP and the Main Line Times Player of the Year as a senior. He was also named both All-Eastern Pennsylvania and All-Main Line Times as a junior and senior. He was named his team’s MVP as a senior, after being named the team’s Defensive MVP as a junior. Bronzino also lettered three times in football.
Personal
Michael Joseph Bronzino Jr., is the son of Michael Sr., and Sage Bronzino and he has two younger sisters. His father played lacrosse for Trinity College. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
