Biography
As a Junior (2012-13)
Cook scored just her second career goal in the Big Red’s regular-season finale on Feb. 23, helping to seal the team’s fourth consecutive ECAC Hockey Regular Season championship. She had two points on the season, also assisting on a goal against Union on Feb. 1 at Lynah Rink.
As a Sophomore (2011-12)
Cook took a season-high two shots on goal in the season opener against Colgate. She provided valuable depth for the Big Red, playing most of the season on its fourth forward line.
As a Freshman (2010-11)
Cook had a strong freshman season, recording eight points on a goal and seven assists while appearing in 32 of the team's 33 games. She scored her first career point in the second game of the year, picking up an assist in the 9-1 win against Robert Morris, and scored her first career goal on Feb. 12 against Yale. Cook picked up three points that weekend, collecting a goal and two assists in the weekend sweep against Brown and Yale.
Before Cornell
Cook played the 2009-10 season with the Nepean Wildcats, appearing in 54 games and scoring 11 goals and 15 assists for 26 points while collecting 34 minutes in penalties. She also played with the Ontario South in the Canadian Aboriginal Hockey Championships, winning a bronze medal at the championships. A multi-sport star, Cook also lettered in soccer and basketball at Salmon River Central School, earning a spot on the school’s Athletic Wall of Honor and earning team MVP honors in both basketball and soccer. She also won three state titles in hockey at Salmon River from 2006 through 2008.
Personal
Olivia Josephine Cook is the daughter of John and Vincenette Cook and has an older sister. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
